I’m laid back, young at heart and a big dreamer! Most days you’ll find me eating spicy foods or French fries soaked in vinegar while hanging out with my husband watching offbeat shows like Flight of the Conchords, What We Do in the Shadows and MST3K. My amazingly chill husband puts up with me singing at him about everything he does (like taking his glasses off to fall asleep on the couch) and trust me friends, the singing is terrible! I’m a huge Disney fan – we love visiting Walt Disney World and are proud annual passholders!
I’m very nostalgic, like when you hear a song, or smell a scent and it brings back so many feelings from a time. I just love that feeling! I like to create my images in the same fashion, I want you to look back on your photos and feel the joy and love that you felt on your wedding day!
Being kind to the environment is something that speaks to my soul. I do what I can to keep this planet thriving. What that means for me is reducing waste, using natural products, and being conscious of nature while I’m out enjoying it!
Because nature gives so much to my photography – the majority of my work is shot in the beautiful outdoors! I give back by having 10 trees planted for every wedding I shoot in honour of the beautiful marriage!
My Approach
I am truly passionate about capturing moments that are genuine and authentic. You know, those real moments that really show your personality, your love for one another, your joy! Never ever will I ask you to smile, and you’ll especially never hear me say to you “pretend to laugh”. I’m going to get to know you, learn your story, find out what makes you smile and laugh and emotional. I bring all of that together to capture those moments that bring up all the nostalgic feelings! I want you to be able to look back on your images and feel the love and joy you felt in that very moment when the camera captured that shot.
My style is much like the film I grew up with – clean with warm and vivid colours. A look that is not “trendy”, but rather a classic look that will stand the test of time.
